Product descriptionFlame-Proof IM-Wood Coat is a safe and user-friendly liquid for flame retardant impregnation of wood for outdoor applications.Flame-Proof IM-Wood Coat includes a transparent coating, which prevents leaching of the fire retardant liquid.
Treatment methodFlame-Proof IM-Wood Coat can be applied by means of spraying at a pressure of between 3 and 5 bar, or by dipping. In the case of spraying the liquid must be finely atomised and be applied from a distance of about 20 cm. In the case of dipping the timber must be immersed approximately 10 minutes in the fluid.
With 1 liter Flame-Proof IM-Wood Coat 3 to 6 m2 wood can be treated. This depends on the type of wood. We recommend always to impregnate a sample to get an idea of the absorption capacity and the expected end result.
Wood treated Flame-Proof IM-Wood Coat is in general not paintable. The adhesion of any final layer can not be guaranteed over time due to the presence of a polymer coating.
Testing and test reportsTaking into account the results of the tests according to NF P 92-501 the samples treated with Flame-Proof IM-Wood Coat are ranked as follows:according to the Annex 5 of the Royal Decree of 19 December 1997: Class A2
The fire reaction of a construction product is the totality of properties can influence the start and development of a fire. The fire reaction rating system is described in European standard NBN EN 13501-1. Seven main classes are defined (A1, A2, B, C, D, E and F) with two additional indications for smoke development (s1, s2 and s3) and the formation of burning drops and particles (d0, d1 and d2). ). Classes A1 and A2 apply to non-flammable products (eg concrete, steel, etc.), while class F applies to non-classified products or products that failed the least severe class E test.
